Google will spend $ 1 billion lease offices in long-term

On October 24 afternoon, Google said that the company will spend $ 1 billion to pay 13 to 14 years’ office rents.

This news was from Google summitted documents to Securities and Exchange Commission (FTC) quarterly on Thursday, but the company did not disclose the specific location of these premises.

Informed sources, Google will invest in a new office space in Silicon Valley. The world’s largest Internet company has been hoping to find more outside the park headquarters office space to accommodate the growing staff.

According to reports, in recent years, Google has bought 24 buildings in the park near the Googleplex headquarters. Google hopes to buy a lot of office buildings transformed into a higher, more dense office space.

It is unclear whether this new lease agreement has concerned with the office. Google said the new lease period will expire in 2027 and 2028.

In addition to the rental fee of $ 1 billion, Google also pointed out that under the contract the company will pay a related operating expenses, but not included in the $ 1 billion in lease fees.

Google is evaluating the impact of these lease agreements on earnings. The total number of employees to increase the company’s third-quarter 3000, the total number of full-time employees worldwide more than 5.5 million people.
